today my serve group helped in SAJS chapel service. they are really so cute. hahaha! i might just consider teaching primary school afterall.. whooo!
crisis relief projects, missionary, doctor.
i kinda miss being in percussion after i went into yamaha at ps yesterday! all the timbales, drumsticks and stuff. oh and our drum solos and drumlines, the medley of retarded songs for our percussion ensemble, the sydney opera house performance, the SYF experience, and most imptantly, the 17th australian international music festival. the standing ovations from the audience of each performance, the "TOPBANDTOPBAND!" shouts from pple along the streets waiting for us as we walked from the opera house to our bus and their frantic waves and handshakes! and, the marks for our performances of 97, 97, 98 upon 100 from the three judges, and how the backstage australian crew shoke our hands and said, top band see you at sydney opera house! (because the winner gets to performance there!) and the morning when we received the news. oohlala! of course, the neverending practices, the scoldings from dr lee, the tiredness and fatigue.. i still can't understand how we stayed till 10pm to practice! once one starts reminiscing these past experiences, one can't stop! hahaha! more pictures next time!

Jesus, God's holiness displayed, (Romans 1)

this seems like E4, finding evidence to back up from the bible. was inspired by the pastor at SERVE to do it, to sing with understanding! so that's my second aim! to know scripture so well, i can have it in my mind and heart at all times, even when the bible is taken away from me.
well, it was during this song which i felt a tiny glimpse of God's glory..
cloud, saturated.
fairytale love story.

today, i saw how the eyes of the guy followed the girl he likes as she walked into the room. in a lovely manner. and it's so sweeet. i think, if he gets her, i'd be happy for them. really.
doesn't everyone hope for that fairytale ending?
in any case, another week of serve! but this week's going to be a real busy one!
blessed be Your name
eunicee jotted on Saturday, January 27, 2007 @ 11:30 AM
Blessed Be Your Name
In the land that is plentiful
Where Your streams of abundance flow
Blessed be Your name
Blessed Be Your name
When I'm found in the desert place
Though I walk through the wilderness
Blessed Be Your name
Every blessing You pour out
I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name
Blessed be Your name
When the sun's shining down on me
When the world's 'all as it should be'
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be Your name
On the road marked with suffering
Though there's pain in the offering
Blessed be Your name
You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord, blessed be Your name
think about it

a hilarious conversation between gladys and i:
me: XUAN! SHOULD I DO BRACES?
gladys: NO
me: WHY?
gladys: WHY YOU AND **** AND ***** ALL WANNA DO?TREND ARH! MAD ARH!
me: NO!
gladys: WASTE MONEY. later halfway Jesus come back le
super hilarious! but her casual remarks made lots of sense. there are so many people who are overly concerned about their outward appearance. of course, that includes me as well. we spend so much time and effort worrying about what we should wear and how we looked. afterall, all that matters in this world is your presentation to them. the first judgment comes at the first point of contact. but who knows when the world will end(Jesus' second coming)? what if it is tomorrow? or 1 sec after reading this? all the money that could have been better channeled is gone and one day, we must be accountable for it.
wow. the more i write, the more scary it sounds. but think about it. the money that we have on hand.. how well do we manage it? afterall, these doesn't belong to us. we are just stewards of what God has blessed us with.

have you ever walked through the link between outram station and the NEL in the peak hours? hearing the numerous sounds of shoes clicking along the passage way. it sounds like, water. water flowing along a canal, water falling from a certain height.. really. it sounds so echoey down the tunnel, like, SURROUND SOUND. haha! it feels quite refreshing, interestingly. well, go try it! just walk along the link at around 8.20am, and hear it for yourself!
choke.

i haven't regretted going for serve07 yet. but have you regretted not going for it?
well anw, we're heading full force for the projs coming our way! ANDDD, my group wanted to fast and pray for our ministry week, smps chapel service and our community outreach, and guess what? it's the same day as the day st andrew's staff and wacyouthleaders are going to fast! plus, both my group leader and assistant group leader had that idea! a confirmation!
God's plan, or coincidence?
Wise prog teaches about the bible and stuff, while serve taught about the OT, NT and church history few days earlier.
Prayer meeting led to conclusions about faithfulness and obedience, and the next day, serve lecture was teaching about how obedience to your parents is also obedience to God!
plus, the book i was reading last night which i borrowed from Eddy is, IS THAT REALLY YOU, GOD? and it talks about seeking the voice of God. and serve today was about hearing the voice of God.
God's plan, or coincidence?
well, God's really speaking to everyone now. (He's really awesome!) there's something i want to tell all of you this, something of great importance, and that is: God is real today. He's just so powerful and all knowing. He's sovereign. and He's going to do a mighty work in the days to come. Please, if you truly are seeking God, or even want to know about Him, don't waste time and do it now. Find the truth. Seek Him for yourself. there's no time to waste, no more. thinking about the list of things you have to complete? The doubts you have? anything that's holding you back from seeking God this day?
How many times do you want to push God aside?
eternal vs temporal perspective. HMM.
Set your priorities right this day; place God first.
memories!

face your
inadequacy.
But
He is
adequate.
humility i suppose.
huge it seems.
how i wonder?
just vs evil.
right vs wrong.
good vs bad.
correct vs incorrect.
so when will God come and set things right?
the day things will be in place.
the day things will be perfect.
the day people will rejoice.
the day people will mourn.
do you anticipate?
in any case, my favourite few photos from thailand trip:
on the way to thailand.

chinatown. it's so blurry yet nice.

ferris wheel!
