what is the destiny of yours?
it's interesting to think of how there will be no more earthly relationships after death. hmm. when you close your eyes and breathe your last, you realise everything's gone.
you let go of everything, willingly or... not.

one of my magical equations:
rain + my hoodie + cold wind + Pebbles playing a nice voice + night
= my short lived period of silent enjoyment. =)

Tragic car crash

The sight of the newspaper headlines flash pass me every night when i sleep. The victim, Kevin Bong was my colleague.
It was horrible working after his death. All of us in the office was devastated.
The thought of him telling me to go home early. He ask me every morning: " You want coffee?" He even said " See you on Monday" when he left on Wednesday night. He tragic car crash happened on Thursday morning.
Everything happened so fast, it felt like a dream. Somehow, i can't accept it just yet. Looking at his desk, the photos of his wife and Justin make me feel terrible. He's a really nice guy. =(

ohmygosh. a LIZARD JUST FELL ON MY FEET IN THE KITCHEN. how SICK is that?! i can still feel it squirming on me. YUCKSSSS. there are many horrendous things that creep around at night in the darkness of a kitchen. YUCKS.
in any case,
tonight's sky is so starry! though i think malaysia's skies are starry-ier.
and
tonight's the first time i've ever seen Orion ohsoclearly at less than 45 degrees from my eye level. how pretty is that?

The Holy Spirit truly brought life to the book of Hosea during WISE today.
Things i learnt:
- God gave men the strength, intellect and skill to survive, blessing him abudantly. Man used his strength, intellect and skill to chop down trees, shaped it into logs, and form the cross. Man made nails and hammers, and used them to nail Jesus onto the cross.
- God will let us eat the fruit of our rebellion, letting us fall. But it is only when we fall, will He speak with His gentle voice, calling us back again.
- God's love has a reason that reason cannot reason, a love that has an understanding that understanding cannot understand.
- God didn't love us because of who we are, but He love us INSPITE of who we are.
- Satan is all out to get us to hell, he's willing to do anything and everything to pull us into hell. But Jesus is all out to get us to Him, and He also is willing to do anything and everything to get us back in Him. That's why He chose the only and the ultimate way - the cross.
The story of Hosea is beautiful, ending with a plea to return again. hmm, i think this story will speak to alot of teenagers, who relate to stories of human love and affection.

as i walked home, i saw the moon with its luminous halo tonight shrouded with grey clouds.
i admire peiling for her contentment in the simplest things. she's really sweet. =)
i admire violet for that something special in her. it shines out of her, i can see it. and i have been admiring her for a long time (secret admirer).
may they be transformed more and more into Christ-likeness all the days of their lives, and be that proverbs 31 lady.
leaders perform even when life isn't fun.
truly, the heart of leadership is influence and character.

Eunice ask me whether i can travel during the period of 29 April to 4 May 2008. I say cannot cuz i already took one week leave to go for the mission trip. Then she replied me: "Okay then, I still love you!" I want to say I love her too!!!!!!!

i love highways at late nights with no traffic on it. the florescent orangey lights, the night wind and the speed of the vehicle. if i could, i'd drive really fastly on a highway late in the night in a convertible.
like sitting at the back of ACJCperc's huge lorry with all those instruments at 1130pm along the PIE, passing by esplanade, victoria concert hall and all those tall buildings.
i like empty carparks with those florescent lights, with a few stranded cars. if i could, i'd drive really fastly around there too and brake hard and make those screechy sounds echoing along tall pillars and lanes, like those action packed movies late in the night.

today i gave tuition at my piano teacher's house. she suddenly recounted how me and janice were like when we were young. tells alot of our character.
when i was younger, i didn't really practice my piano. so my pianoteacher got furiously angry one day, she wanted to make me CRY so that i'll feel bad and start practicing. she tried her very best to make me cry and blahblah, but she got a shock. coz i just won't cry and instead, gave her a defiant-gangster-wanna-fight-pissed-look. she recalled how she thought to herself, this girl just won't cry! so, after my turn was sabrina's. she asked sabrina, eunice don't cry one ah?! then my sister said, yah she doesn't cry, she's strong. (hohoho!)
BUTTTTTT!!!!!!
when it came to janice, being her usual self, she was very very very very sleepy during lessons. (maybe her bad sleeping habit started from young already!) my pianoteacher got FURIOUS once again, and wanted to make her cry. so she raised her voice, and suddenly........ janice started crying. and when pianoteacher asked, whose fault is it?! then janice reply.. "my fault....."
come to think of it, janice! we were so funny; how we were when we were young.

DEPRESSION
what: a condition where a person has a depressed mood, is pessimistic about life, feels hopeless and helpless. a patient can become suicidal and in some extreme cases, even homicidal.
symptoms: sleeplessness, waking up in the middle of the night, loss of appetite and weight, loss of zeal, pessimism, no interest in hobbies.
cure: the illness responds well to medical treatment. counselling alone is not enough as evidence has shown that such mood changes are related to biochemical changes in the brain.
best to be prescribed medication alongside counselling and therapy.

what: a bizarre condition where the sufferer repeats an action excessively.
it is as though the brain is stuck on a particular thought or urge and cannot let go.
symptoms: repeated behaviour such as washing your hands non-stop or driving around and around the block to check that an accident did not occur.
cure: over the last 20 years, two effective treatment have been developed:
1. cognitive-behavioural psychotherapy
2. medication
