have you ever taken someone for granted?
last night, grace brought forward this point.
so then i wonder, instead, have i taken anyone or anything for granted?
have you?

summary of the past week
eunicee jotted on Friday, January 27, 2006 @ 8:59 PM
new photos are up! sdthree #58 onwards! if you want the videos, pls ask me instead.
it's been quite some time since i've last posted.. been really busy this week, ending late and having so much to do.. but i guess j2 life is like that. oh well! not blogging has resulted has resulted in some lost thoughts over the past week so i shall try to recap what are some impt stuff that happened!
monday 23 jan
yes! one year has past.. ooh the unsayables. may the icfyfs last!
wednesday 25 jan
ughh. if you two want to bitch about people, find somewhere else. kinda made me lose whatever respect i had for him.
triangle came and returned fiftycents. ooh! ambfc fails at such close encounters. ahh!
had piano lesson while janice came to sit in! well, i can say our styles of playing is very different! how intriguing and special. may we both pass piano dip with flying colours. if i don't get a merit and above, it's wasting my $1000.
thursday 26 jan
listening to grace telling me about smiley, it makes me wonder, and perhaps hope, or maybe want. that adrenaline rush! that insatiable longing for the next day.. everything. don't want to lose control. it'll end up badd.
friday 27 jan
finallly watched memoirs of a geisha. at least it has a ohsosweet ending. and furthermore, zhangziyi is so pretty! i actually wanted to be like a geisha! but after i watched on, they have to sell their virginity. no thanks. i'll stick to wanting to be doctor then. =)
eunicesin and i used to wonder if there is a secret factory that produces pretty girls, like when you walk on the streets, you see sooo many prettyplushot girls. yes i know this sounds superficial and yes character counts blahblah.
i feel soooooo totally not a girl. like, painting nails, wearing makeup. like jiayi, serene, adelle and the rest. they are so pretty plus girly, everyone should want them. but i don't want to be bothered by these kinds of things. i actually get bored by these things. i think these shiny glittering stuff should be in tubes of paint. i'll have more fun with paint than lipglosses and eye shadows etc. i think i'll forever be so ungirl. that's fine with me though..
i caught her. she sneeks peeks at him. she screams for his attention. she's attention seeking you. will you give in to her possessiveness and will you satisfy her attention seeking? will you? will you!
i finally tasted the nostalgic feeling of.. it. i don't know how to describe it. but i sure don't like the feeling of it. that perhaps leads on to the next point..
other random thoughts which i had:
i still don't know if it's good or if it's bad, to be dependent on someone else emotionally that is. there're so many things that have no clear cut choices it's rather mindboggling and heart-confusioning.
the more difficult thing than to hold on, is to let go.
that makes it all the more worse.
God's been telling me to love my enemies, to forgive. for two weeks? almost there. i've been trying, really. but sometimes, they're just soo pissy it's inevitable. of course, rely on His strength. love is the greatest. also my weakest.

wretched

this entry is written by JANICE...
have you ever experienced this kind of situation before?
you sit among the congregation listening to someone sharing his life-changing testimony. he talks about how screwed his previous life was, like addictions to drugs, pornography, sexual immorality, or simply someone who felt like there was no purpose in life until he knew about Jesus Christ?simply which, everyone is greatly touched by his testimony and they start to exclaim in joy and excitement. they could feel God's hand at work in that person's life, even a pre-believer would have felt God tugging at his heart.
and there you are seating, silently wishing that you had such a wonderful testimony to share. a testimony that you can always use whenever you share the good news of Christ to a pre-believer. a testimony that can simply blow someone off his feet, so that he would know how great our Lord is and how He has impacted your life. if you havent, i have.
im born into a Christian family and although i understand that im really blessed to grow up in such a conducive environment, i've often wished that i had a life changing testimony to share with my frens or with pre-believers whenever we are out evangelising. i even contemplated whether i should try becoming a 'bad' person and go against God and experience for myself how God can actually change me. and then WA-LA! i have a life changing testimony! and then i would have a deeper hunger for Christ after experiencing what He has done for me.
however, in SERVE yesterday, the speaker was casually sharing with us how his fren came up to him and told him that if only he was a really 'bad' person in the past, he would hunger for Christ even more. and it struck me because that was exactly what im experiencing!!but now i understand that it is not how 'bad' a person you were in the past that determines how much you seek after God, but its realising how wretched we are. EVERYONE is a wretched sinner and it is only by the grace of God that we are saved. and there are NO DEGREE in sin. lying and committing adultery is still a sin. there is no small or big sin. every sin IS a sin.
Christ died on the cross for our sins, which to everyone, should be our life changing testimony. it is by His grace that we are saved.
Romans 3:22-26 (New International Version)
This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished- he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.
2 Corinthians 5:17 (New International Version)
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

wow our visitor poll has rised to 72 so far!
i don't like it when someone says i don't like her but is perky and happy infront of her. i don't like it when someone says others are hypocrites but don't realise that someone is exactly like that. sighh.
unfortunately, self reflection is more impt. i drew a parallel and i find myself somewhat like someone. but in another scenario, that is. so often, we all say no, it'll never happen, it sux it's horrid. but secretly in our hearts we mean another thing. ah how contradictory. i can't decide. i'm losing my control. i'm wavering my stand. hmm.
a burden. to drop or not to? i ask i pray i seek.

my rough hands
Becky jotted on Monday, January 16, 2006 @ 11:56 PM
i juz changed my department to housekeeping. the work is really tedious! i've been washing toilets and changing pple bed sheet... i was cleaning up the room and i said 'yucks' when i wipe off all the dust on the high areas, the auntie that i was attached wif said something that really caught me. like that also 'yucks' how you wan to study hotel management? does that really matter? my hands are really rough now. the cleaning chemicals are too strong for my delicate skin... =p the aunties are really my role model. they can be old but fitter than me...
something i'm really happy about is that pple recongnize me when i walk around, whether izzit the toilet, canteen, corridor, or in the train, pple talks and greeets me... i like thia kinda feeling, it's the warm i always wanted... But does that means when i've got new friends, i need to lose my old friends? i lose contact wif my sec friends for about a year already, it really saddens me. whenever i sms or call them, they always seems like they dun have time for me. Haiz. i guess life is like that... everybody moves on, but i hope that the pace can be slower at times... thank God i have you guys... Will nv ever leave me rite? let's work towards our goal and our big house every day!!!
hugs and kisses from becky

today is the worst day of the year. really. math lesson was the worst everr. it was pissy, angstifying and everything badd. worst still, i couldn't tilt my head back in class. it was tough.
i think people who are intelligent yet unable to pass down such talent should never try to impart knowledge. they fail miserably.
attention is what i seek but i won't find.
satire.
whateverr.
i think any little thing will trigger an emoblast by me.
and there's one thing that can make me feel a whole lot betterr. which unfortunately, is the thing that i mock and i scorn.

locker memories..
eunicee jotted on Sunday, January 15, 2006 @ 12:38 AM
i remember the times we had lockers in school. and you will have a key to your friend's locker. upon turning the key, you'll find an envelope pasted on the inside of the door. at the end of the day, you anticipate while turning the key, wondering if there was a gift delivery that day.. it's a special envelope.. you can put lollipops in it tagged with messages of encouragement, or you can write letters and cards to your friend. to remind each other of the times you are missed. or to just share your love..
but then again, what is love?
it's nostalgic. it's bittersweet.

hello!this entry is written by JANICE!
im excited because i just purchased two Christian books to read, one recommended by sier and the other by our speaker in SERVE. i wanted to try looking at the rest of the list sier gave me but it was all sold out at tecman. i dunno why but i got really excited buying books that i wrapped it up in case i spoil them. now, i gotta finish the book huiling gave me first before i can start on them. whee..
then today, i went to buy the books for the pple who are going to get baptised next sat. and i got all excited again. i want to keep all the books for myself!!!the only regret is that i couldnt get the 'God chasers' by tommy tenney. i heard that it is a good book. i would really like to take a look. but in all the three christain bookshops that i went, they did not have it. is it really that good? wow....
the other thing im excited about is i bought new bedsheets. its for my new mattress which is 'super single'. slightly bigger than my present one. and much thicker too. i love the bedsheet cos the pillow case has two prints, so it can be counted as reversible. hahaha. and then the overall pattern is nice too. :)
and i cant wait to get my cupboard. those who have been to my house and my room especially, would know that my room doesnt have any proper furnitures. even the table that i used for studying is a dining table. yup!

this song is really nice.
melody and lyrics wise...
go check it out! :)
indeed, God is awesome.
whom NONE can fathom...
may you be blessed..
Indescibable
From the highest of heights
to the depths of the sea
creation's revealing your majesty
from the colours of fallto the fragrance of spring
every creature unique
and the songs that it sings
all exclaiming....
indescribable, uncontainable
You placed the stars in the sky
and You know them by name
You are amazing God
all powerful, untamable,
awestruck,
we fall to our kness
as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing, God
who has told the lightning bolt
where it should go?
or seen heavenly storehouses
laden with snow?
who imagined the sun
and gives source to its light?
yet conceals it to bring us the
coolness of night
none can fathom....
indescribable, uncontainable
You placed the stars in the sky
and You know them by name
You are amazing God
incomparable, unchangable
You see the depths of my heart
and You love me the same
You are amazing God

after much thought and observation, we concluded that im suffering from sensitive skin instead of acne.
of course, we did not base this finding from any doctor's comments.
but since it showed no signs of improvement, it must be.
otherwise, its an allergy reaction.
well, just hope that it would get better.

another week of school is starting! oohlaalaa. i hope it passes soon!
i feel that no matter what happens, no matter what frustrations and everything, ultimately you have to learn to cope with it. to handle it. to not let it take over you. to control it. to not make the atmosphere unpleasant. to be as mature as you can be. to learn. to grow. to not show it in public.
and so when me or you can't do it, i get pissy.
emotional instability makes me pissy.
life's full of stuff. it's messed up. we need God.
teenage love is screwed up. it doesn't work. it does, sometimes. feels nice, most of the time. fails, probably majority of the times. it just sux. don't forget, i'm a cynic.
well that's for me. you don't have to take the same stand as me.

hello everyone...
im being forced to write an entry here by u-know-who
hahah.. ok, just kidding.. i do not want to see my head roll :)
i guess eunice is really interested to know about the SERVE program that im attending
basically, its like serving God full time
like the tribute program tina did
just that its catered for the youths waiting for their results or army guys who wish to know more about God and their calling
yup...
plus instead of the odd jobs that is required of u,
we undergo lessons, like on biblical knowledge
and then, we prepare for a mission trip
well, its interesting to know that our mission trip this year is in SINGAPORE!
but what they say is true
we often associate mission trip with overseas and not locally
the place that is neglected the most is our home country
but im still curious to know how a mission trip in singapore is done
and yes, im a little disappointed that its not overseas
who wouldnt be anyway??
:)
hm..... frens are nice
leaders are nice
lectures are great too
and my group is called the HELLO PANDAS!
cool name isnt it??
whee.....
well, this is a good opportunity to reflect on God's word as well as returning to Him a portion of what He had given to us...
so, if ur thinking what u should do with 2 months on hand, u should seriously consider going to SERVE
God bless...
