After attending Gim Seng & Sharon wedding today, Da Jie and I went shopping in town.
To my surprise, I saw my Groom, who got married on 15 November 2008 with ANOTHER lady. He was touching her face on the escalator. He saw me and his eye opened wide. YUCKS. I did not bother to stop to talk to him. Anyway, not say I will tell Bride about it. I remember them really well cause I got scolded by their church wedding coordinator during their rehearsal. I remember it was on eve of halloween, they suppose to come 7pm but made me wait till 8pm. Nevermind, I waited for them. When they reach, the couple didn't apologize and whole jing gang took their own sweet time to do things. Commanded to do things like I'm their maid. ARGH. Then this lady came up to me, hi I'm so and so from New Creation Church who will be coordinating the holy matrimony. The next sentence was, we only got 1 hour to spare so can we do this fast? I was boiling, but I smiled and said ok.
I hate seeing things like this. Really. How can a guy change their heart so soon? So many times that I've seen guys falling in love with another lady after their wedding and then separate after a while. The guy runaway to China just 1 week before the wedding when the lady is pregnant already. He's just very timid I guess, he's scared to face the music.
It's so amazing that a couple is pronounced husband and wife within half an hour. But it also doesn't take long for them to separate as well.
Sometimes...
Becky jotted on Saturday, February 21, 2009 @ 5:26 PM
Sometimes I wish that I could have been more aggresive to other people. They tend to step on my head when I treat them nicely.
Sometimes I hope that I didn't said the things I've just splurt out of carelessness which may hurt others in some way or another.
Sometimes I wish I could turn back time cause I just want to live at the good times.
BUT everything is in God's good hands, so fret not!!!

Lately, i read this most famous sermon that sparked the 'Great Awakening'. It made me tremble in fear. Read it only if you dare to, not an easy sermon to swallow for many, I'll warn you.
Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God by Jonathan Edwards
http://www.jesus-is-lord.com/sinners.htm
Jonathan Edwards entered Yale University at the age of 13. This sermon really portrayed the gospel in a different light, something that we don't do. Context of the audience to whom he preached this sermon: a hard-hearted congregation. But you can't deny that it's true.
Pastor Kong Hee said it true in his article:
"The fact that the greatest gift God has given to us is the Bible tells us plainly that to grow in God, we need to know how to read, reason, analyze and understand".
(okay la, to me the greatest gift is salvation but anw..)
This inspired me to study not just because i need to do well in my grades, really. but now it has inspired me to think with my brain. =X train my brain up. not just learning the facts of accounting, or biology, or whatever be the case. but education is more than that for me now. ah, if only i had this realisation earlier.
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!
Becky jotted on Saturday, February 14, 2009 @ 10:20 AM
Never thought that I would still receive flowers for Valentine's this year.
BUT the delivery man came knocking on my office door when I was about to leave.
He said : "Rebecca Koh!"
I replied : "It's ME! You sure it's for me?!"
(I jumped sky high while saying this)
SUPER happy. Didn't even bother who was it from at first. The flowers are so nicely arranged.
When I said bye bye to my colleagues. My Director commented that she can't see me anymore, cause I was smiling from ear to ear. Haha. So funny. :)

eunice and i thinks this year didnt really have a good start.
i agree.
but in tough times,
God is good.
things may or may not get better,
but let's keep our focus on God.

Monday Blues...
Becky jotted on Monday, February 09, 2009 @ 1:46 PM
Monday is already bad enough for me, cause I still haven gotten over my fun filled LONG weekend.
I just came back from my leave today, and I get a shock of my life when I came into the office this morning.
(For those who have been reading this blog, you'll should know that I have a close colleague named Vincent.) He tendered he's resignation letter when I'm on leave last Friday.
I asked him why. And he answered... When you switched to room sales, my world has no meaning to stay here anymore. (He knows how to sweet talk one though)
I feel super emo after I heard what he said. I dunno what to say or answer him.
I can imagine my days without him calling me baby once in while. Our makan sessions. Our way home together. =(
Sigh, things changed so much. I wonder how Tiffany is feeling now....

me, janice and becca watched a dvd called "Trade". Becca wanted something "inspirational" so we thought this would be. but this show traumatised me greatly. It talks about trafficking of children (girls AND BOYS) and young women for sex trade, and earn money by letting men rape them and auctioning them off to paedophiles. it's M18 and horrifically grotesque.
This isn't the first time i watched a show about raping of women at the borders of mexico and america. the other time was when my family went kuching. i got so scared and traumatised i had to share a single bed with luz. I bet it's like this at the borders even right now as you read this.
It really is very traumatising. and real.
When i reflect on these, i am just speechless. Here in singapore, we complain about school, friendship problems, work issues, relationship problems, even how tiring ministry work is. Yet, girls and boys at other parts of the world are being raped brutally, and they wait in fear and suffer the feeling of dirtiness after being treated as such.
How is it possible to love paedophiles? God loves the person and hates the sin. But how is it possible to love paedophiles? And when i think of how, in God's eyes, my one sin is equivalent to each time these pple sexually abuse others, i can't help but have to keep quiet. God is love. He really is. I really want to be like Him and do as how He does it. But I, for now, am unable to comprehend it.

I hardly read books. Also partly cause I don't have much books to read.
But when it's a gift from others, I try to finish reading it.
There is particularly 1 book that I must finish cause my 2 friends bought it with alot alot of effort.
The first page of the book was filled with their thoughts as follows:
Dearest Becky,
We decided that this book would be the best present for you. Trust me. we spent ALL our money on it, so do read it. I believe it will benefit you greatly. Thanks for being such a wonderful friend at all times! May God bless & guide you always
Janice
Dearest Becca,
Happy Birthday! You better read all of this book... EVERY SINGLE WORD! We spent all our $$$ k... till no money for dinner ... =) We hope this book will help you to understand more about love and guide you... If got any question can ask us... We love you lots & lots... Stay close to God and trust him always... God Bless!!
Eunice
They bought me this book when I fall out of a silly relationship during secondary school days. It was dated in 2004, when they wrote those for me. Haha. These 2 silly girls. But this book "Define the Relationship" by Jeramy and Jerusha Clark did help me to get over it somehow.
So when chester and I ended, I force Janice to buy me another book. It becomes a routine huh. So funny. And again... She has no money. So she gave me a book that she bought recently. Took it off her shelf and gave to me as Christmas present. On the first page of "Captivating", Janice said : May you be a woman chasing after God's Heart! You are captivating, beautiful, one fearfully & wonderfully made! =)
Anyway, I can't sleep that's why I'm digging my cupboard for books to read.
This should have happened last night! Then my 2 evil friends wouldn't take such unglam video of me when I sleep. So irritating. *Bleah*
No matter what, I still love them.
Wide awake,
Becky
