when one doesnt do the same as you do.

can you still go the extra mile?
can you still say im here for you?

the fragility of relationships,
just like how fragile life is.
one complacency and everything falls apart.

be watchful...

Praise to the Lord

in the battles Lord
You are my peace
when i'm broken Lord
You are my strength

You're my strength
You're my love
You're my life
You're my joy
my song in the night
how i marvel at Your mercies
and i sing...

i sing "praise, praise to the Lord!"
i sing "praise, praise to the Lord!"
for He is good, and merciful
His love is great He's so wonderful
my Lord

becca is a huge meanie.

Becky jotted on @ 12:58 PM

It goes like this... (we were conversing in mandarin)

Mao: Becca... Sometimes I feel it's a waste when you don't become a actress.
Becky: Huh? Why?
Mao: Because you are not scared of being embarrassed. (what she meant was I have thick skin I guess)
Becky: I laughed non-stop

Mao made my day, after a long day of shopping, without EUNICE by making such a funny statement. =)

mm, thank you becca. i love you very much too. yuppyupp we're very much older now, aren't we. but i'm still glad and thankful that the Lord has placed us three together in this friendship. i think if becca gets married, i feel like a parent marrying the daughter off.

friends are important and precious indeed.

Looking back at the past, I realised I've changed alot. I know Janice will laugh at my old hairstyle in secondary days. But it's not that about the looks, it's who I am.

In cell, Hui wen asked mao and I whether did we change after accepting Christ into our lives. I said yes. Specifically from my secondary school days and now. I thought that I was very rebellious then. But thank God for Janice and Eunice, who often bring words of wisdom when I have problems. If it wasn't for them, I don't know how things will turn out to be.

Time flies and we are leading different lives now. Eunice pursuing her degree, Janice a social worker now and of course myself planning weddings for couples. We might have grown further apart, but you guys have and will play an important part in my life. I love you. =)

today i banged down a bumblebee. it smacked right into my windscreen and i was musing over it for the short time that it was crawling around on my windscreen before it flew off. and my instructor thought i was laughing at his instructions on how to drive past amber lights.

today i almost banged 2 cars and swerved out of lane twice because i was distracted by the other cars or the scenary around me. (anyone still wanna be my passenger?!)

but on the overall, today's driving lesson was quite fun. because there were lesser cars on the road and we drove along long lengthy roads without traffic lights.

cough syrups make my heart go pomppomppomp and my hands tremble like an earthquake, just about the third thing in the world to do so.

My direct supervisor asked me "How do you keep your cool?"
I said I dunno, I'm just like that. I hope i will stay like this forever.
I will learn to love the things i hate, love my enemy and do not bear grudges. =)

I actually miss studying science; it captures my interest once again.
I never knew the true depth of a blog post i once read concerning God and the universe.

Orion Nebula

Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky
and You know them by name
You are amazing God

All powerful, untamable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees
as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God

want to know how many stars are there?
"Milky way is only one of at least 100 billion galaxies in the observable universe. There will be 100 billion stars per galaxy. There are as many stars in the observable universe as there are grains of sand on all the beaches on Earth."

hmm.

Psalm 139:17-18

How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How great is the sum of them!
If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand;
When I awake, I am still with You.

Take note of the word - more.

now i begin to understand what it means by how great is the sum of them.

hmm, maybe each star represents one thought about us by God.

Bring me along this journey with You, Creator of the galaxies and the stars.

catharsis.

astro class is very interesting, the way we study stars and galaxies. but it came to a point where it began irking me.

the big bang theory is totally incomplete without God inside the picture. it's inaccurate in itself also.

it states, we were formed from stars. like the death of one star caused the creation of planets, galaxies and many of other things.
the beauty of creation just caused by the death of a star?! there must be more than this.

parallel universes colliding into each other, causing a big bang.
now, who creates those parallel universes in the first place?

life on earth is theorised to be brought on a comet/asteriod which collided into earth and wah lah! life form, humans.
now, where did that first form of life came from on that comet? inanimate into animate?

death of a star - millions of years later, generations of stars later, planets formed.
i wonder the day, when they realise all these were formed in 6 days by God.

funny how the video ended:
when others ask you where you came from, tell them:
you came from the heart of a star.

well, Jesus is our Bright Morning Star.

me and becca loves janice!

REMEMBER JANICE, YOU CAN FIND US ALWAYS ALRIGHT.

confused

janice jotted on @ 11:02 PM

im still a little confused.

we know that everyone is different,
then how does friendship works?

we know that there are a certain few people that we can click with,
and with these people, what are the things that keep the friendship together?

the level of intimacy is increased,
when we are willing to share more than the superficial,
when we are willing to confide with our vulnerabilities.

but before that,
i did think that,
the little things matter too.
like appreciation, reciprocating, affirming, and trusting.
sometimes with direct works, sometimes with the body language.

but would everyone do the same?
if there is no reciprocation, and no bonding through trust,
or contradicting body languages at different points in time,
can the two still feel comfortable even to remain close for long?
if there is no outright proclamation to the status of the friendship,
is it a mutual thing that the friendship is more than acquaintance?

its weird.
i cant find a answer to these yet.
and it has been going round and round and round.
wish i can reach a conclusion i can be satisfied with and have less frustrating moments.

:D

friends are important.

But they and our fathers acted presumptuously and stiffened their neck and did not obey your commandments. They refused to obey and were not mindful of the wonders that you performed among them, but they stiffened their neck and appointed a leader to return to their slavery in Egypt. But you are a God ready to forgive, gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and did not forsake them. Even when they had made for themselves a golden calf and said, 'This is your God who brought you up out of Egypt,' and had committed great blasphemies, you in your great mercies did not forsake them in the wilderness. The pillar of cloud to lead them in the way did not depart from them by day, nor the pillar of fire by night to light for them the way by which they should go. You gave your good Spirit to instruct them and did not withhold your manna from their mouth and gave them water for their thirst. Forty years you sustained them in the wilderness, and they lacked nothing. Their clothes did not wear out and their feet did not swell.

Nehemiah 9:16-21

Thank You Lord.
